Confessions can be a double-edged sword, right? On one hand, honesty can bring people closer and build trust. On the other hand, some confessions can be deal-breakers if not handled carefully . What's your take on it?

Is keeping secrets from and individual good on bad ?

If it's something that could harm others or is toxic, probably bad. But if it's personal stuff you're protecting, might be okay.

What's the good thing about confessions ?The good thing is that confessions can be super liberating! Getting things off your chest can feel like a weight's been lifted, and it can bring people closer together through honesty and vulnerability, Plus, it can be a major trust-builder in relationships, Confessions can also be a catalyst for growth, both personally and in relationships! They can lead to deeper self-awareness, understanding, and empathy. And, let's be real, they can be super therapeutic !

Why do people do not like to confess ?

What's the Bad thing about confessions let's talk negative ?

The bad thing is that confessions can hurt people, bruh. You might've thought it through, but the other person's still gotta process it, and it can get messy . Regret's a bitch, too - can't unring that bell.

Coerced-Compliant False Confessions: These occur when an innocent suspect, exhausted by intense, long, or manipulative interrogation, confesses to escape the situation, believing they can prove their innocence later.

Internalized (Persuaded) False Confessions: Through intense psychological pressure, including the fabrication of evidence, an innocent suspect may begin to doubt their own memory and become convinced they committed the crime, sometimes creating false memories.

Vulnerable Populations: Juveniles, individuals with cognitive impairments, and those with mental health issues are significantly more likely to give false confessions due to suggestibility and compliance. Modern police interrogation techniques can be inherently oppressive, causing innocent people to break down.

Minimization Techniques: Detectives may play down the seriousness of the crime, suggesting it was accidental or justified, which leads suspects to wrongly infer they will receive leniency if they confess.

Isolation and Duration: Prolonged isolation in a small, private room increases anxiety and the desire to escape, making a suspect more compliant.

Impact on the Judicial System: Confessions are so powerful that they often override other evidence, including evidence of innocence.

Prejudicial Evidence: Confessions are "inherently prejudicial" and highly damaging to a defendant, even if the confession is obviously coerced or unsupported by other evidence.

Jury Misconception: Juries rarely disregard a confession, even when they believe it was coerced, or when instructed by a judge to do so.

Tunnel Vision: Once a confession is obtained, investigators may stop searching for other evidence, closing the case and ignoring alternative suspects.
